What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is the use of digital information and communication technologies, like computers, tablets and smartphones, to access and manage your health care away from your healthcare provider’s office. These may be technologies you use from home or that your provider uses to improve or support health care services. Telephone visits are also considered Telehealth.

Who can be scheduled for a Telehealth visit?

Any HealthOn Tucson patient who has a smartphone, tablet, computer or laptop with a front facing camera, microphone and stable internet connection or data plan. Not all healthcare visits are appropriate for Telehealth. We can help schedule the best type of appointment for your healthcare needs, call 520-670-3909 for help getting you scheduled.

How much does Telehealth cost? 

There is no additional fee for a Telehealth visit versus an in-person visit. HealthOn Tucson will work with your insurance to get these visits covered.

​How to schedule a Telehealth visit with your healthcare provider?  

Just three easy steps:

1. Schedule a Telehealth appointment by calling HealthOn Tucson.
2. If you are using a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer, the device must have a front-facing camera with a microphone and internet connection or have a data plan.
3. Once you schedule your Telehealth appointment, you will receive an email and/or text from us. You will need to access this email or text from your preferred device for appointment notification and link.

Simply click/tap the button to reconnect with your health care provider. If you continue having issues with connecting, your provider will call you.

Is there an alternative to Telehealth?

Yes. We can make arrangements for patients to connect via telephone as well.
